Greer, SC Outlet Installation, Kitchen Wiring & 20A Circuits

Touchstone Electric recently completed a residential outlet and kitchen wiring project in Greer, SC. Performed by our Greenville branch and scheduled through our Taylors location, this service focused on safe, code-conscious power distribution for a busy kitchen and adjacent spaces. The work was completed on January 14, 2025 by our technician Brad Anderson for homeowner Kevin Merrifield.

Project Highlights

150 ft of 12/2 NM-B Romex installed to serve new 20-amp kitchen circuits, supporting appliances, power outlets, and other higher-load devices.
Six standard receptacles professionally installed, each with new covers and clean finishes.
1-1/2 inch EMT conduit (20 ft) added with proper mounting, connectors, and LBs where needed for protection and durability.
Electrical permit filed with the county to ensure inspection and compliance with applicable codes.

All wiring was routed and secured neatly with attention to protection, accessibility, and future serviceability. Our team prioritized a reliable layout for present needs while helping position the home for potential future upgrades.

Why 20-Amp Kitchen Circuits Matter

Kitchens demand dependable, higher-capacity power for appliances and countertop devices. Dedicated 20-amp circuits with 12-gauge wiring reduce nuisance trips and help ensure equipment has the support it needs. By installing new 12/2 NM-B runs for 20A circuits, we improved power availability and helped mitigate overload risks in daily use.

Conduit and Protection

We installed 1-1/2 inch EMT conduit to shield conductors and provide a durable pathway in areas where mechanical protection is beneficial. Permitting and Inspections

Touchstone Electric filed the electrical permit for this project and coordinated the work to align with local requirements. Please note that the permit covered here is for electrical only. If a project requires additional non-electrical permits—such as zoning, environmental, septic, historic preservation, builder, or other subcontractor permits—those are not included. Should other permit types be required, we will advise you on next steps and can provide pricing to handle additional filings upon request.
