Lighting Installation in Greer, SC

Touchstone Electric completed a comprehensive lighting and electrical upgrade for homeowner Ron White in Greer, SC. This Lighting & Ceiling Fans project, part of our Lighting Installation services, was handled by technician Tyler Harris from our Greenville team (Taylors branch) and completed on December 17, 2024.

Project Highlights

Chandelier installation (high ceiling): Hung a customer-provided chandelier in the living room using an existing ceiling box and wiring. Due to the ceiling height, our crew utilized an oversize ladder and a two-person team for safe, precise installation.
Two pendant lights: Installed customer-provided pendants over the kitchen island, including safe removal of the existing fixtures.
Five smart dimmers: Replaced existing switches with smart dimmers in multiple rooms. These support 2-way, 3-way, or 4-way switching and can be controlled by smartphone or voice assistants for convenience, energy savings, and added security.
Bathroom GFCI outlet for bidet: Added a GFCI receptacle adjacent to the toilet for the bidet, improving safety with ground-fault protection in a moisture-prone area.
Crawlspace outlet for water filtration: Tied into an existing circuit and installed a standard receptacle to serve the filtration equipment.
Frame TV wire management: Installed the customer-provided in-wall cable management box and extended power from an existing outlet to a new receptacle at the TV location for a clean, low-profile setup.
Wiring and support: Utilized approximately 25 ft of 12/2 NM-B Romex where needed and provided an additional electrician wireman for efficient, safe completion.

High-Ceiling Chandelier and Pendant Expertise

Installing fixtures at 14–18+ feet requires the right equipment and coordination. We brought a 16-ft+ ladder and a two-person crew to safely mount the customer’s chandelier to the existing box and set proper support. The kitchen island pendants were positioned and secured to enhance task lighting and the overall design aesthetic.

Frame TV Wire Management

To achieve a streamlined look for a Frame TV, we installed the customer’s in-wall cable management box and ran a new receptacle to it from an existing outlet. This approach conceals cords and provides a tidy, integrated finish that complements the living space.
