Bathroom sconce, ceiling fan, and exhaust fan installed in Etowah

On February 2, 2026, Touchstone Electric’s Asheville team completed a bathroom lighting and ventilation upgrade in Etowah for Re-Bath Charlotte during a remodel. Lead technician Aaron Smith added a new wall sconce, replaced an existing ceiling fan, installed a bathroom exhaust fan, and matched the color temperature of all bathroom lighting for a consistent, comfortable look. We also handled the electrical permit and carefully fished new wire to minimize wall and tile disturbance.

Scope of work we completed

  • New bathroom sconce: Added a dedicated wall sconce to improve task lighting and mirror illumination.
  • Ceiling fan replacement: Installed a customer-supplied ceiling fan on the existing ceiling box and circuit.
  • Bathroom exhaust fan install: Removed the old housing, made precise drywall cuts, reworked the duct connection, and tied into the existing power source for reliable moisture control.
  • Color temperature matching: Ensured all bathroom fixtures produce the same light color for a cohesive appearance throughout the space.
  • Wire fishing and new cabling: Carefully fished approximately 15 feet of wire through finished walls and pulled ~20 feet of 14/2 NM-B Romex to supply the new fixture location, with tidy junctions where needed.
  • Permitting: Filed and tracked the county electrical permit for code-compliant completion and final inspection.

This project was coordinated around an active remodel, allowing Re-Bath Charlotte’s team to keep momentum while we handled the electrical details cleanly and on schedule.

Why Etowah homeowners choose our lighting and fan services

  • Code-compliant installs: We pull the required electrical permit and complete work to current code and manufacturer specifications.
  • Clean wire fishing: Minimized drywall impact while routing new conductors to the sconce location.
  • Comfort-focused lighting: Matching light color temperature prevents mismatched tones and shadows in mirror areas.
  • Seamless remodel coordination: We work smoothly with contractors and homeowners to keep timelines on track.
  • Local team you can trust: Our Asheville crew serves the Etowah area with prompt service and professional workmanship.

Materials and methods used

  • Customer-supplied ceiling fan and bathroom exhaust fan installed on existing circuitry.
  • Approximately 20 feet of 14/2 NM-B Romex added for the new sconce and associated connections.
  • About 15 feet of wire fishing through finished walls/ceilings to reach the new fixture point with minimal disturbance.
  • Secure terminations in code-approved boxes, verified polarity and grounding, and checked fan and lighting operation.

Before wrapping up, Aaron Smith verified fan operation, lighting levels, and uniform color temperature across the bathroom fixtures.

Permits and important notes

Touchstone Electric filed the electrical permit for this project and completed all work to local code. Please note that non-electrical permits—such as Historic Preservation, Environmental/Septic, Zoning, separate subcontractor, or builder permits—are not included. If additional non-electrical permits are required by your jurisdiction, we will let you know which ones you may need to handle or provide pricing to process them on your behalf.
