Scope of work
- Main panel replacement (200A, outdoor): Removed the aging panel and installed a new 200-amp aluminum outdoor main panel. Labeled circuits, reconnected service conductors and existing branch circuits, and completed all grounding and bonding at the new panel.
- Whole-home surge protection: Installed a service-entrance surge protective device to divert damaging voltage spikes to ground, helping safeguard appliances, HVAC equipment, and sensitive electronics.
- Breaker upgrades: Installed appropriately sized breakers to support household loads:
- Eleven 15A standard breakers for lighting and standard branch circuits
- Three 30A single-pole breakers for dedicated appliance loads
- Two 40A breakers for larger equipment such as dryers, water heaters, or condensers
- One 30A double-pole breaker for major 240V appliances
- One 70A breaker suitable for ranges, heat/furnace, or a small subpanel
- Grounding system improvements: Drove new ground rods and connected a #6 bare copper grounding electrode conductor (approximately 15 feet) back to the main panel with secure, code-compliant clamps and terminations.
- Lighting upgrades: Installed six customer-provided fixtures (pendants/ceiling/chandeliers) on existing boxes and circuits for an immediate aesthetic and functional refresh.
- Permitting and inspection: Filed the electrical permit with the county and coordinated inspection in alignment with current code requirements.
