We connected a customer-supplied Level 2 charger to a dedicated 240V, 50-amp circuit designed specifically for EV charging. The installation was planned around the home’s layout and panel capacity to ensure safe operation and long-term performance.
- 50-amp GFCI breaker installed to serve the EV charging circuit, providing code-compliant ground-fault protection.
- 6/3 NM-B wiring routed for the new 240V feeder, neatly secured and protected where required.
- 3/4" PVC conduit used in exposed areas for durability and a tidy finish, with #6 THHN conductors pulled for the transition.
- Dedicated EV circuit fully labeled, torque-verified, and tested for correct voltage, polarity, and GFCI operation.
- Charger integration to manufacturer specifications, ensuring proper mounting clearances and drip-loop management where applicable.
Every connection point was inspected, and the completed work was verified against current electrical code and manufacturer guidance.
