Our Raleigh branch completed a comprehensive 200A electrical panel upgrade and whole-home surge protection for Mark Miller in Durham, NC on June 23, 2026. Lead technicians Eric Myers and Brad Williams replaced the main panel with a modern, copper-bus system, upgraded breakers for safety and code compliance, and added a high-performance surge protective device. The work was fully permitted and inspected as part of our Panels & Service Upgrades and Electrical Panel Upgrades services.
What we installed

Why this upgrade matters

Code-driven safety with AFCI protection
As NEC 2020 adoption continues locally, inspectors commonly require AFCI (Arc-Fault Circuit Interrupter) protection on many living-area circuits to reduce fire risk caused by arc faults. During this project, we upgraded multiple 15A and 20A circuits to AFCI breakers to align with current code and enhance safety.
Note: Installing AFCI breakers can reveal preexisting wiring conditions (such as shared neutrals) that may cause immediate tripping. Resolving such issues may require additional diagnostic time to locate and correct the underlying wiring condition. Our team communicates findings clearly and provides options to remediate any discovered issues.
