Touchstone Electric’s Raleigh team completed a Duke Energy rebate-backed Level 2 EV charger installation for Duke Energy – Allumia on July 1, 2026. This project was delivered by our Raleigh branch and tailored to meet program requirements while ensuring a clean, code-compliant install for reliable at-home charging in the Raleigh area.
Our electricians installed a customer-supplied Level 2 EV charger on a dedicated 60-amp circuit, coordinated the required permit through the Duke Energy program, and handled documentation to secure the rebate—helping reduce out-of-pocket costs for the customer.
Scope of Work Completed
- Dedicated 60A circuit: Installed a new 60-amp breaker to support Level 2 charging requirements.
- #6 SEU wiring: Pulled approximately 35 feet of #6 SEU (3-wire) cable, with conduit and fittings as needed for a neat, protected run.
- Professional EVSE connection: Hardwired the customer-supplied Level 2 charger for dependable performance and safety.
- Code compliance: Installation performed to current electrical code standards and local Raleigh permitting requirements.
- Qualified team: Work led by licensed electricians with assistance from an electrical apprentice for efficiency and safety.
