Project overview
Our Charlotte team completed a remodeling-ready electrical update for Boon & Company Construction on December 6, 2023. The scope included relocating lights and outlets to make room for a new back door and installing two dedicated circuits: a 20-amp line for an AV outlet and a 15-amp line for a dishwasher. This Outlets & Switches project, categorized under Outlet Installation & Repair, was led by technician Danny Bishop from our Charlotte branch serving the greater Charlotte, NC area from our Matthews location.
What we did
- Relocated lighting and receptacles: Adjusted the placement of existing lights and outlets to accommodate a new back door, ensuring safe clearances, clean terminations, and code-compliant device positioning for everyday convenience.
- 20A dedicated circuit for AV: Installed a dedicated 20-amp circuit to a designated AV outlet to provide reliable power for audio/video equipment and help minimize nuisance tripping.
- 15A dedicated circuit for dishwasher: Added a dedicated 15-amp circuit to support a dishwasher on its own line, aligning with common manufacturer recommendations and local electrical code requirements.
- Fixture coordination: The homeowner supplied the new light fixtures for the area; our work ensured the wiring layout and device locations aligned with the updated plan.
All work was performed with a focus on safety, neatness, and adherence to current electrical standards for a professional, code-compliant finish.
