Project Overview
For this home in Richlands, the goal was to add dedicated power where it was needed while keeping the installation neat, accessible, and protected. We routed the new circuits up from the garage panel into the attic, then down the opposite wall in rigid PVC conduit. Where the pathway entered the crawl space and needed added protection from moisture and movement, we changed over to liquid-tight flexible conduit.
This approach provides a durable raceway, maintains clear separation from potential hazards, and helps ensure long-term reliability for the new dedicated loads.
What We Installed
- 3/4" PVC Conduit — 10 ft: Mounted with appropriate straps and fittings to protect and route the new circuit from the garage panel through accessible paths.
- 3/4" Liquid-Tight/Flex Conduit — 5 ft: Used for the crawl space transition to add flexibility and moisture resistance in a more demanding environment.
- Fishing Wire — 10 ft: Utilized to pull conductors through tight, hard-to-reach sections in the attic and crawl space with minimal disturbance to finished areas.
- Additional Wireman Assistance (1 day): An electrical apprentice supported the lead technician to keep the project efficient and on schedule.
All conduit runs were securely mounted, with properly fitted connectors and LBs as applicable for direction changes and clean access points.
