Completed Crawl Space Switches & GFCI Outlet Installation in Charlotte, NC

Touchstone Electric’s Charlotte team completed a crawl space electrical upgrade for Crawl Space Brothers CLT in Charlotte, NC. On February 27, 2025, technician Josh Key installed a dedicated 15-amp circuit to power crawl space lighting, added a standard receptacle for service needs, and positioned a GFCI outlet at the crawl space access point for convenient resets. To make lighting simple and safe to control, we installed light switches at both crawl space entrances.

Scope of Work

Installed a dedicated 15A circuit for crawl space lighting to avoid overloading shared circuits.
Added a standard outlet to support string cage lights and typical service tools.
Installed a GFCI receptacle at the access point so resets are quick, easy, and safe without entering the crawl space.
Placed light switches at both entrances for convenient on/off control from either side of the crawl space.
Verified correct polarity, grounding, and GFCI protection; tested operation of all switches and outlets.
