Project overview
On July 20, 2024, Touchstone Electric’s Charlotte team, serving the area from our Matthews branch, completed a crawl space lighting upgrade for homeowner Calan Canipe in Charlotte, NC. Lead technician Christian Cedillos installed a durable keyless light in the crawl space and ran new NM-B wiring to support 15-amp lighting circuits with a tidy, serviceable layout.
This project improves visibility and safety for anyone accessing the crawl space for maintenance or inspections, while setting up reliable wiring paths that can accommodate future lighting needs.
What we completed
- Keyless light installation (crawl space): Mounted a standard keyless fixture designed for practical, dependable illumination. Note: switch not included in this scope.
- 50 ft NM-B Romex 14/2: Routed new cable for 15-amp lighting/general-purpose circuits. Includes the cost of any necessary junction box. Breaker, switches, receptacles, and fixture add-ons were not included in this line item.
- 20 ft NM-B Romex 14/3: Routed additional cable intended for 15-amp 240V lighting/general-purpose applications where needed. Includes the cost of any necessary junction box. Breaker, switches, receptacles, and fixture add-ons were not included in this line item.
The result is a clean, accessible wiring setup and a bright, easy-to-use light source that makes routine crawl space tasks significantly simpler.
