Project Overview
Our scope centered on reliable power distribution for the pool system, comprehensive GFCI protection near water, and clean, durable wiring methods suitable for outdoor conditions. We coordinated with the pool control panel and customer-supplied lighting components to deliver a seamless, professional finish.
What We Installed
- Equipment hookups: Connected the pool pump, gas heater, and a low-voltage transformer for pool lighting. All terminations were completed from the pool control panel according to manufacturer diagrams, including low-voltage relays where applicable.
- New breakers for protection and performance:
- 20A Double-Pole GFCI
- 15A Double-Pole GFCI
- 20A Single-Pole
- 15A Single-Pole
- Six pool lights: Installed 6 customer-supplied fixtures with whips and transformer. Touchstone Electric provided the THHN grounding conductor and routed conductors through the existing conduit path to each light whip.
- Weather-resistant receptacle: Installed a GFCI outlet with an in-use bubble cover for safe, convenient outdoor power and weatherproof protection whether the outlet is in use or not.
- Durable raceway: Added 25 ft of 1/2-inch PVC conduit with proper fittings, connectors, and LBs. Conduit was securely mounted to protect wiring from moisture and physical damage.
Technician Chris Rogers, supported by an electrical apprentice, completed the installation, labeling, and testing of all circuits to verify correct operation of equipment and safety devices.
