The project included a new grounding system, a riser with weatherhead, whole-home surge protection, and full permitting and inspections. Completion date: October 24, 2025.

Scope of work completed
- 200A meter/panel combo: Removal of the outdated equipment and installation of a new utility-approved meter/panel combination rated at 200 amps for improved capacity and safety.
- Utility coordination: Scheduled the power drop with the power provider and coordinated the disconnect/reconnect to minimize downtime during the changeover.
- Grounding system upgrade: Installed new ground rods and grounding electrode conductors to meet current code and enhance fault clearing and surge dissipation.
- Riser and weatherhead: Installed IMC conduit from the meter base to the weatherhead, including straps, roof boot, and new service entrance cable from the meter to the weatherhead.
- Whole-home surge protection: Added service-level surge protection to defend sensitive electronics and major appliances from utility and lightning transients common to our region.
- Permits and inspections: Pulled the required electrical permits and coordinated inspections with the local authority having jurisdiction for a compliant, documented upgrade.
When needed, temporary power support can be arranged upon request during the service change to keep essential loads operating.
