Scope of Work and Materials
We installed a dedicated 240V Level 2 charging circuit with the proper capacity and protection for modern EV charging needs. Our team focused on a tidy, durable installation that integrates seamlessly with the home’s electrical system.
- Dedicated 50A circuit in the main service panel, sized for common Level 2 EV chargers.
- 3/4" EMT conduit for a neat, protected surface run and clean equipment transitions.
- #6 THHN copper conductors to support the circuit load and minimize voltage drop.
- Terminated to accommodate the customer-supplied Level 2 charger per manufacturer specifications.
- Permit secured and all work performed to current electrical code requirements.

Our Installation Approach
Before any work began, Wyatt Barnes assessed the service panel capacity and the best routing for the new circuit. We planned the conduit path to avoid unnecessary penetrations, keep the run compact, and maintain a clean appearance. EMT was mounted securely with properly spaced supports, and #6 THHN conductors were pulled and terminated with correct torque and labeling.
At the panel, we installed a new 50-amp breaker and balanced the load across phases as part of our standard quality checks. We verified bonding and grounding, confirmed correct conductor sizing, and ensured all terminations met manufacturer and code specifications. Our team handled the permit process and coordinated next steps per local inspection requirements.
