Ceiling Fan Installation and GFCI Breaker Upgrade in Denver, NC

Our Charlotte branch, based in Matthews, completed a Lighting & Ceiling Fans service for Daily View Pools in Denver, NC on April 10, 2024. Technician Brian Cain installed a customer-supplied ceiling fan and light, added new THHN conductors in liquidtight flex for a clean, protected run, and upgraded the circuit with a 15A GFCI breaker for added safety.

Project Scope

Ceiling fan and light install: Mounted the customer’s fan/light kit to the existing ceiling box and tied into the circuit, ensuring secure support, proper terminations, and smooth operation on all speeds with balanced lighting.
New THHN wiring: Pulled approximately 5 feet of #14 THHN conductors to complete the connection on a 15-amp circuit, providing durable, code-appropriate wiring for lighting loads.
Liquidtight/flex conduit: Added roughly 5 feet of 3/4-inch liquidtight flexible conduit with the appropriate fittings and connectors for a neat, protected pathway where extra mechanical protection is beneficial.
15A GFCI breaker: Upgraded the panel with a 15-amp GFCI breaker to provide ground-fault protection for the circuit, improving safety and aligning with modern protection standards where applicable.

The result is a safe, reliable, and tidy installation that keeps the new fan/light operating as intended while enhancing protection at the panel.
