Our Charlotte team from the Matthews branch completed a multi-room upgrade for Walsh Crawl Space & Structural Repair on May 8, 2026. The scope included installing three customer-supplied ceiling fans, supplying and installing three wafer-style can lights, and setting 17 in-ceiling speakers. The project was delivered cleanly, efficiently, and to code across the home in Charlotte, NC.

How We Completed the Installation

Before any cutting or mounting, our crew reviewed the layout and confirmed existing box ratings and wiring access. For the ceiling fans, we verified that each existing junction box was fan-rated and appropriately supported, assembled the customer fixtures per manufacturer specifications, balanced the blades, and confirmed fan/light operation on the existing controls.

For the wafer-style LED can lights, we selected locations with proper clearances and used the integrated, low-profile drivers to fit tight ceiling spaces. Wafer lights are ideal where traditional cans won’t fit, providing energy-efficient, even lighting without bulky housings. We tied into the existing lighting circuit as designed and tested each fixture for consistent color temperature and output.

For the in-ceiling speakers, we marked and cut precise openings, set the customer-supplied speakers flush to the ceiling, secured them to manufacturer torque specs, and checked polarity and continuity for proper channel performance. Grilles were installed for a seamless, professional look.
