Ceiling Fan & Lighting Installation in Southern Pines, NC

On 2024-04-17, our Raleigh branch completed a fast, reliable lighting and fan upgrade for homeowner Donna Saylor in Southern Pines, NC. Project Overview

Installed two new light fixtures in the dining room and front hallway (one at a higher/difficult location).
Installed one ceiling fan/light combo in the primary bedroom and added approximately 25 feet of new wiring to reach the location.
Installed two ceiling fan/light combos in additional bedrooms using existing pre-wiring.
Installed two bathroom exhaust fan/light combos on existing pre-wiring (fans not included by customer).
Connected a pre-wired microwave/vent hood combo in the kitchen. Prepared for potential circuit extension with #12 wiring if needed.

All fixtures were customer-supplied and mounted to properly rated boxes to ensure safe, code-conscious operation.

How We Completed the Work

To support the new installations, we routed and secured approximately 55 feet of NM-B 14/2 cable in approved pathways, added fan-rated boxes where needed, and used existing circuits and boxes when appropriate. For the higher hallway/dining location, our team safely accessed and mounted the new fixture with the correct hardware and support.

Before wrapping up, we verified fan balance and direction, confirmed proper light switching, tested bathroom fan/light operation, and ensured the microwave/vent combo was powered and functioning as intended. Work areas were cleaned and left neat once testing was complete.
