Subpanel Installation in Cary, NC by Our Raleigh Team

Touchstone Electric recently completed a professional subpanel installation for homeowner Amy Frisz-Conlon in Cary, NC. Performed by technician Brad Williams on November 11, 2024, this project is part of our Panels & Service Upgrades service line, with a focus on Subpanel Installation to support safe power distribution and future expansion.

To deliver a durable and neat result, our Raleigh branch routed new PVC conduit from the main panel along the exterior and into the attic, then pulled a 100A feeder to supply the new subpanel location. As with every project we perform, the work is backed by our lifetime craftsmanship warranty.

Scope of Work Completed

Our team completed a clean, code-conscious installation designed to protect conductors, simplify future service, and provide reliable capacity for added circuits.

  • New PVC Conduit Run: Approximately 20 feet of 1-1/2" PVC conduit was installed from the main panel, routed up the side of the home and into the attic. This included mounting hardware, connectors, and LB fittings as conditions required for a tidy, protected pathway.
  • 100A Feeder Pulled: 60 feet of SER #2 (four-conductor) cable was pulled to supply the subpanel. This 100-amp feeder provides robust capacity for future branch circuits and dedicated loads.
  • Neat, Serviceable Layout: Conduit and cable were arranged for clear access and future maintenance, with careful transitions at entry points to keep the system organized.
  • Quality Assurance: Connections were verified and the feeder path was checked for secure support prior to energizing, contributing to a dependable installation.

Why a Subpanel Was the Right Choice

A subpanel is an excellent way to expand electrical capacity without replacing the main service. For many Cary homeowners, it provides room for:

  • New kitchen or laundry circuits during remodels
  • Garage or workshop equipment with higher loads
  • HVAC upgrades or mini-splits
  • EV charging and outdoor power needs

By pairing a 100A feeder with a properly routed conduit path, the home gains flexibility for future projects while maintaining a clean, professional look.

Craftsmanship You Can Count On

Our Raleigh branch prioritizes safety, organization, and long-term reliability on every panel and subpanel project. From secure conduit mounting to careful cable handling and clean terminations, we focus on details that help your system run smoothly for years to come. And for added peace of mind, this Cary, NC installation is covered by our lifetime craftsmanship warranty.
