Project overview
Our Charlotte branch completed a clean, flush-mount quadplex outlet installation for Alex Bauer in Charlotte, NC. The new outlet was recessed into a brick wall that adjoins the garage, giving the homeowner reliable power for a wall-mounted television and general-purpose use without visible conduit or surface-mount boxes. The work was performed by technicians Matthew Castello and Zion Brownlee and finished on April 17, 2025.
What we installed
- Flush-mount quadplex receptacle set in a two-gang box cut into the brick for a low-profile, built-in look.
- Two standard receptacles with new cover plates to round out available power in the area.
- 18 feet of NM-B 12/2 Romex to carry power safely and neatly through the structure.
- 15A tandem breaker added in the panel to provide power for the new TV and general-use outlets while maintaining panel space.
How we got it done
- Tapped an existing circuit to extend power to the new location, matched to the circuit’s rating and application.
- Precision brick cutting to recess a two-gang electrical box, ensuring the quadplex sits flush with the brick face.
- Clean cable routing with 12/2 Romex, secured and protected to meet residential electrical standards.
- Neat wall restoration including access cut, drywall replacement, spackle, and paint for a finished, like-it-was-always-there result.
- Final verification with function checks on each receptacle and a panel review after installing the tandem breaker.
This approach delivered the power capacity the homeowner needed while preserving the aesthetics of a brick interior wall—perfect for modern media setups where cord management and a flush finish matter.
