Touchstone Electric recently completed a comprehensive bedroom rewiring and service upgrade for homeowner Deanna King in Matthews, NC. Led by technician Viktor Opalko from our Charlotte branch, the job focused on removing the bedroom from a shared 15A circuit, running a dedicated 20A circuit, updating outlets, installing a whole-house surge protector, and upgrading the grounding system. - Neat pathways: PVC conduit and appropriate fittings were used where needed to protect conductors and maintain a tidy, professional look.
- Whole-house surge protector: Installed at the main electrical panel to help divert damaging voltage spikes away from home circuits and electronics.
- Grounding upgrade: A new ground rod was driven and a continuous grounding electrode conductor was routed back to the main service panel.
Before wrapping up, we verified proper operation on the new 20A circuit and ensured the surge protector and grounding connections were properly integrated with the service equipment.
