What we did
- Installed a GFCI receptacle: A new, tamper-resistant GFCI outlet with cover was added in the master bathroom to safely serve the bidet.
- Tied into an existing 15A circuit: The outlet was connected to a suitable general-purpose lighting/receptacle circuit using approved methods for a clean, reliable power source.
- Used NM-B 14/2 wiring: We ran 14/2 NM-B Romex to match the 15-amp circuit rating and maintain proper conductor sizing.
- Fishing wire through finished areas: Approximately four feet of cable was carefully fished through hard-to-reach spaces to avoid opening walls and preserve the bathroom’s finishes.
- No drywall removal required: The installation was completed neatly without cutting drywall, minimizing disruption and cleanup.
- Safety verification: Function and protection were verified after installation as part of our standard safety checks.
