Why AFCI protection matters
AFCI (Arc-Fault Circuit Interrupter) breakers are designed to detect dangerous arcing conditions that standard breakers may not catch. Upgrading to AFCI helps reduce the risk of electrical fires in living spaces and around frequently used receptacles and lighting.
Important note on diagnostics: Installing AFCI breakers can sometimes reveal preexisting wiring conditions—such as shared neutrals—that may cause immediate tripping. When this occurs, it can require additional diagnostic time, which may include opening devices and fixtures on the affected circuits to locate and resolve the issue. Our team addresses these findings methodically to restore safe, reliable operation.
Whole-home surge protection benefits
A properly installed surge protection device (SPD) at the main panel helps prevent high-voltage spikes from reaching sensitive electronics and appliances. By shunting excess voltage to ground, the SPD reduces the risk of damage from storms, grid disturbances, and everyday equipment cycling. This protection supports the longevity of HVAC systems, refrigerators, washers, dryers, built-in appliances, lighting, and more.
The installed SPD includes a $50,000, 10-year warranty against covered home appliances in the unlikely event of device failure. Coverage is secondary to existing insurance, excludes direct lightning strikes, and does not include security systems or medical equipment. Covered items generally include major household appliances and hardwired devices when properly protected by the connected SPD.
