Rough-In to Trim-Out: Our Process in Laurel Park
The project followed a clear milestone path to ensure quality and compliance with local inspections in Laurel Park and Henderson County.
- Rough-In Phase: Service equipment set, branch circuits pulled, boxes set, and panel labeled to pass rough inspection.
- Trim-Out Phase: Smoke detectors installed and supplied; vent fans connected (ducting by others); disconnects installed for HVAC/major appliances; customer-supplied appliances (disposal, dishwasher, range, cooktop, microwave, washer, dryer) hooked up; fixtures installed per plan. Any additions beyond the original equipment schedule require a change order.
Payment milestones for this project:
- 30% deposit prior to starting work
- 50% within 7 days of the rough-in inspection
- 20% within 7 days of the final electrical inspection
Lighting and Finish Details
To complete the interior, our team installed a balanced mix of recessed and surface fixtures for consistent, code-compliant illumination:
- 27 recessed can lights provided and installed (fixture-only scope; circuits/wire provided elsewhere in the project).
- 4 simple fixture installs (e.g., ceiling fans or lights), using customer-supplied fixtures on existing boxes/circuits.
Code Compliance, Safety, and Labeling
All work was completed from stamped customer plans and verified against NEC 2020. Safety essentials—including dual-ground-rod bonding, GFCI and AFCI protection where required, and a whole-home surge protector—help safeguard the home’s sensitive electronics and appliances. A clearly labeled panel directory and neatly dressed boxes support long-term serviceability.
