- New 200A meter/panel combo (over/under with feed-through lugs): Installed a modern combination unit to consolidate service equipment, streamline maintenance, and provide capacity for present and potential future loads.
- Riser and weatherhead installation: Added an IMC service mast from the meter location to the weatherhead with proper straps, a roof boot, and new service-entrance conductors from the meter/panel up to the weatherhead for durable, weather-resistant service entry.
- Permits and utility coordination: Pulled all required permits and coordinated the power drop with the utility to ensure a smooth and efficient service transition.
- Grounding and bonding upgrades: Installed ground rods with grounding electrode conductors for a safer fault path and improved overall system performance.
- New circuit protection: Added and organized breakers to match household needs and typical appliance loads:
- 1 x 80A standard breaker
- 1 x 50A standard breaker
- 2 x 30A double-pole breakers
- 3 x 20A standard breakers
- 5 x 15A standard breakers
This configuration supports common high-demand equipment such as ranges, HVAC equipment, dryers, and water heaters, while leaving capacity and labeling that make future additions—like a subpanel via feed-through lugs or an EV charging circuit—simpler to plan.
Code Compliance and Inspection Readiness
Our work met current local requirements and was completed with inspection in mind. As jurisdictions continue adopting NEC 2020 standards, inspectors may require certain branch circuits to be upgraded to AFCI protection.
