Our technicians Ryan Balgobin, Eric Myers, and Cody Perry replaced the main electrical panel with a 200A copper unit and added a whole‑home surge protection system. This Electrical Panel Upgrades service improves reliability, safety, and code compliance for the home.

What We Upgraded

200A Outdoor Main Panel (Copper Bus Bar): We removed the old panel and installed a new, code‑compliant 200A main panel with a copper bus bar backed by a transferable 50‑year warranty. The panel was properly grounded and bonded, the service entrance conductors were reconnected, and all circuits were neatly labeled.
Permitting and Inspection: We pulled the necessary permit in Greensboro and coordinated final inspection, ensuring the work meets current electrical code.
Limited Power During Outage: While power was disconnected for safety during the panel swap, we made a generator available for limited temporary power to minimize downtime.

Note: A standard panel replacement does not include a separate service disconnect, feeder, or meter upgrade unless specified. For this project, we also installed new breakers as listed below.

As NEC 2020 adoption grows, inspectors may require Arc‑Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) upgrades on certain circuits. Installing AFCI devices can expose pre‑existing wiring conditions—such as shared neutrals—that may cause immediate tripping and require additional diagnostic time to resolve.
