- Upgraded the grounding system: drove new ground rods (typ. ~8 ft), ran the grounding electrode conductor to the main panel, and secured all terminations with listed clamps for reliable, low-impedance fault paths.
- Added whole-home surge protection: installed a panel-mounted surge protective device to divert excess voltage safely to ground, helping shield wiring, breakers, and hard-wired appliances from surges caused by lightning activity, utility fluctuations, or large equipment cycling. The unit includes 10-year, $50,000 equipment coverage (exclusions apply; certain items such as security systems and medical equipment are not covered).

- 2x 40A standard (common for high-demand loads)
- 14x 20A standard (typical small appliance and branch circuits)
- 7x 15A standard (lighting and general-use circuits)
- 1x 30A standard single-pole (appliance)
Power is temporarily shut off during a main panel changeout. To help minimize disruption, Touchstone Electric makes a generator available for limited power usage during the outage window.
