On January 23, 2025, our Charlotte team, operating from the Matthews branch, completed a 200A copper main electrical panel upgrade with new breakers and whole‑home surge protection for homeowner Jason Ward in Davidson, NC. Lead technician Wyatt Barnes handled the end‑to‑end replacement, permitting, and inspection process to bring the home’s service equipment up to current code and safety standards.
What we upgraded in Davidson, NC
- Permit and inspection: Pulled the required electrical permit and coordinated the final inspection.
- 200A indoor main panel (copper bus): Removed the aging panel and installed a new 200‑amp main panel with a copper bus, grounded and bonded to code, reconnected the service entrance conductors, and neatly relabeled all circuits.

To minimize disruption, power was safely disconnected during the panel swap, with a generator available for limited temporary power use.
