Technician Christian Cedillos installed a dedicated 20-amp small appliance circuit to provide safe, reliable power for higher-demand countertop equipment and other plug-in devices.
This Outlet Installation & Repair project added new capacity from the electrical panel to serve small appliance outlets, reducing nuisance tripping and helping the home meet modern electrical needs.
What We Installed
- 1x 20-amp standard breaker: Properly sized and labeled for a dedicated small appliance circuit.
- 47 ft of 1/2-inch EMT conduit: Professionally mounted with appropriate connectors and LBs to protect conductors and produce a clean, durable run.
- 47 ft THHN #12 copper conductors (3–4 strand): Wire type and gauge suited for 20-amp circuits commonly serving kitchen appliances, power outlets, and other high-current devices.
The new circuit was routed from the panel through EMT to the destination box to supply small appliance receptacle locations, with careful attention to neat bends, secure supports, and organized terminations.

- Testing and verification: Performed continuity and polarity checks and confirmed breaker performance, then clearly labeled the new circuit.
